Hi Spartans! This is my sixth year teaching at Skyline, and I'm excited to start this journey with you...it'll be interesting to see where it takes us.
A few things to know about me...teaching is a second career for me, but I think of it as a calling as opposed to a job--I love being in the classroom, especially here at Skyline! I try to bring some "real world" experiences into the classroom to help you learn how to manage your time, be responsible, and navigate challenges in a way that prepares you for the opportunities of life beyond the classroom.
I have an awesome wife (we met in 3rd grade...) and three kids: my oldest daughter recently graduated from Concordia University in Portland with a BA in Psychology where she played softball (go Cavaliers!), my son is a senior at WSU (go Cougs!)--he's into golfing, disliking the Huskies, and is majoring in Chemical Engineering, and my youngest daughter is a junior in high school (go Mavs!), is a link leader this year, and we also spend a good deal of time watching her play fastpitch.
I also coach football here at Skyline--offensive line--so I'm busy just like you...keep after it, ask for help when you need it, and we'll be fine!
I love spending time with family and friends on our boat, following the Yankees (and rooting against the Red Sox...), music (Led Zeppelin is my favorite...), reading, watching movies, and watching sports of all kinds--even if I don't understand them (cricket anyone?)...
I look forward to getting to know you a bit more and seeing where the year takes us! Life is way more interesting if you get involved! Ask questions, and let me know about things you hear that relate to things we're up to in class! (maybe even sometimes when it doesn't...)
